Our world is full of distractions and complications. We can regain balance and harmony by becoming more sensitive to the natural rhythms and subtle energies of the earth.
Through the many ages of prehistory and history, and in all the geographical regions of the planet, human cultures have revered, celebrated, and used these natural rhythms and subtle energies: to locate favorable places to live, to find underground water sources, to find or to design sites of special spiritual power, to organize their annual work in harmony with the plant and animal world in order to assure a long-term food supply, to create beautiful art, music, and architecture.
In our comfortable modern world, we don't need to be aware of these rhythms and energies in order to survive. But some of us have come to the conclusion that life is better if we get back in touch with this fundamental union between human and nature.
